Bite me, January. I'm gonna be happy whether you like it or not.

For everyone who hates this time of the year, this compilation is especially for you. Stick it in your iPod, your MP3, burn it to a CD, whatever, and the drudgery that is resuming your working routine after the New Year will no longer be a blight. This will definitely brighten up your morning commute.

And don't worry. This is happy music, but not the kind that makes you want to throw up. It's the kind that makes you dance. If you like Gorillaz, KT Tunstall, The Fratellis . . . Just trust me. You're gonna like it. ^_^

@_@ Oh noooooooooooo! *frantically sending you good vibes* I shall go have a little "chat" with the big guy/gal/animal-headed-deity upstairs and make sure they make things a little more comfortable for you. *shakes fist threateningly toward the sky*

How are you feeling? I hope you got some sleep last night. Were you up very late?

heyyyy I'm happy to report that I passed!!! presentation went well, then 1st exam was a bit tricky because of icky questions and 2nd exam (that with my ex-advisor) was excellent - every right answer made his face darken and afterwards, when photos were taken he had to be prompted to not scowl.

^_^ the good vibes sure worked! I'm in an excellent mood now :) I'm a bit tired, though, for I was up till 1am and had to get up at 7am to catch the train at 9.40. Thank heaven for coffee!

Btw - didn't you want to drop me an e-mail?

YYYYYYYYYYYYYaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy! *sparkles hearts stars* Oh my gosh! 8D I'm so PROUD of you!! *hugglehuggle*

And ohmygod I'm soo sorry for disappearing on you!! DX I shall explain in full in the letter I send you with your box of choccies [oh, and my copy of The Hounds of the Morrigan I'll include] but in short, this is my last few weeks summarized: very, VERY close family friend [who lives in France] has realized her marriage is falling apart and called us distraught to plead for help. She's distraught and confused, and the village she lives in is gorgeous but far too secluded for her, and it's made her older than her time, if you understand me. We of course flew over to support her and help her make a decision. A couple days after our return home she called and said she'd decided to take the enormous step of coming back to Ireland after years in France, and since then we've been in Balbriggan with her and her daughter while she gets a start with the diivorce proceedings . . . phew!

In any case, I'm baaaaaaaaack and I'm so proud of you darling! How was it? Scary? Exciting? I wanna hear all about it!

*glomp* ahhh there she is - I did figure something important had detained you from writing :) but good to hear nothing serious happened to you.

Letter, book, choccies? Ai, I'm so looking forward to it :) To hear from you cheered me up quite a bit since my day was strenuous and my boss #2 didn't like it much when I told him that I quit.

Oh poor family friend! I hope she's getting settled in Balbriggan now? (stupid question: is Balbriggan a part of Dublin?)

How was it..hm. The exam was scary, I was sooo nervous. But in hidnsight it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Giving notice at my company is, though. My bosses are NOT amused that I take my leave right now. However, I got that other good job (long story) and I'll start there on March 3rd. It's awkward now at my soon ex company, to say the least and I have to stay there for another 4 weeks. :(

But I would have left there soon anyway because my colleague drives me crazy (another long story - let's just say his intellect is lower than that of the average amoeba).

I'm sooo glad to hear from you again. :) *huggies*

Here's a little muscial goodie for you:

*grins* No, no, nothing deadly serious, but serious nonetheless . . . and time-consuming, I might add. In case you hadn't noticed . . . *cough cough*

Oh, so glad I could brighten up your day a little. Sounds like you've been busy as heck! Me too, today I just went for a FAS interview - I've signed for a course in book-keeping and accounts that starts this May. =D I really need to make me some moolah and start saving for my future! *nods* Ooomph, it sounds as though your having an awful time in your old workplace at the moment . . . Gosh, were you high up or something? If not, I can't see any reason for your boss to get all bent out of shape like that. How rude. You gave them plenty of time's notice, after all! Don't you worry sweetheart, you drop me a line whenever you feel the need to offload on somebody. I'll be here. ^_^

Yeah, by the way, I just got the parcel box I'm gonna be sending your stuff in. It's HUGE. o.O [I'm not sure that's the size I asked for . . .] Hmm, it might appear there'll be room for even more goodies . . . =D

She's not quite settled, but she's getting there. It's a big step, after all. Thank yee for asking! ^_^ [And yes, Balbriggan is in Dublin. But Dublin heeeeeuuuuge.]

Ah, well, the exams might have been difficult, but it's all over now. *pats you* And look! You've got a shiny new job to look forward to! \\(^o^)// Hmm. Sounds to me you'll be better off outta that place you're currently working in at the mo. I'm betting you'll be glad to see the back of it, and rightly so, if the behaviour of your bosses is anything to go by. Jeez, what happened to being gracious? I'm sure there's plenty of candidates willing to fill your position.

Ohhhhhhhh, is that the doofy guy you were telling me about? You shared some of his "nuggets of wisdom" with me, remember? LOLOL X-D

*g* *fake innocent look* oh nawww didn't notice that one :) *joking*

Well yeah, my live has been upside down for ages but that new job kind of topped it off.
Ah, an interview? How'd it go? Book-keeping? ewww, I had that at college and couldn't get rid of it fast enough again. It's what my friend calls so charmingly "Gehirnwichserei" (meaning you're kinda braindead after a while of doing that). But then, I'm not exactly mathematically able which is weird because they usually say that IT people are good at maths. I, however, was abysmal at it and wonder till today how I passed the maths exams at uni. *lol*

I wasn't exactly high up at my workplace, I was only a mere programmer. However, it seems that my boss got bent all out of shape because now there's nobody who does the administrative stuff AND the programming AND the boss interaction stuff. *hehe*
But it's not as if there weren't enough people out there they could hire for the job. However, I would recommend them to hire somebody with the nerves and patience of Chris Hawken. *hehe* Else, there might be a newspaper headline of "programmer killed colleague".

HUGE box? *very broad grin* o_o Seems they misunderstood your order, eh?

Eh, no problem! :) I usually ask when such events occur. Oddly enough, such catastrophes tend to happen more often in my circle of friends recently. Beats me why, though. A friend's mother has cancer, my favourite aunt too. Both had relapses this week.

Oh yeah, it's best for me to be outta that place, else I'll get brain-damaged. My bosses were always very nice and accommodating, but now that I'm leaving, they're all bent out of shape. Perhaps they're afraid their project might go down the drain (which is a very REAL possibility, if you ask me).
In fact, candidates to fill my position seem to be somewhat rare. The HR lady at my new job told me when I had a chat with her while getting my written acceptance for the job that they could not find more people in my field (java programming).
Besides, to fill the job I did here until now, they need someone with good nerves to bear with Mr. Doofy. *lol* As to his "nuggets of wisdom", I have collected quite a nive selection on post-its which currently adorn my desk at home or lie under my keyboard at the office. *lol* When I'm home I'll get you the newest gems concerning MS Office and the reason why China is allowed to have atomic bombs and Austria isn't. You'll be hooting! *lol*

Mr. Doofy recently got the bad habit of eating lunch at a pub which must probably smell like old oil and fish. You know that smell? Said smell sticks to my colleague for hours on end afterwards. ewww O_o I mean, he never did have the best manners to begin with (and I didn't even yet tell you what he did at the company Christmas celebration, I'll leave that for my letter, it's a longer story) but does he have to go around stinking like that!? Backwater farmer idiot or no, but some basic manners and thoughtfullness would be an asset in the business world of today.

But heck - in 1 mo I'm gone from me and he can do whatever he pleases..stink and smell all he likes and torture my bosses with his idiocy. (boss #2 said Mr. Doofy is to take all my programming tasks)
