Irishdancer here :()
*rofl* hilarious!

I'm so dead right now. I had dancing lesson today and jumped into my left (i.e. operated) knee when practising back-2-3s. OUCH!

8D I'm so glad I found these . . . I don't think I've laughed at Inuyasha so hard in months . . . Sometimes, there's such thing as taking your fandom too seriously. Not that taking it seriously is a bad thing, but we need to lighten up! I think that's the reason my muses have been MIA as of late. The WARMTH has been missing! But Tarkheki's art has really touched me, and things are stirring in my little inspiration box again, yay! [Check out her gallery on DA. It's phenomenal. Even her scraps are like little mini masterpieces!]

OOOOOOOOooooooooooooouch, not The Knee!! *grimaces* Break out the painkillers! Or a cold compress, at least . . . How's the leg now?

Oh!!! I have NEEEEEEEEWWWSSS!! Mirchie, honey, you're going to love this. During the week, I recieved a VERY intriguing private message on ff dot net from an author by the name of Yodai Hiro. She's planning an EPIC Arjuna fiction and she's trying to get in touch with all the Arjuna fans she can find! We're in the midst of a very in-depth exchange [and you thought WE were Chris fanatics] and I've already put her on to you. So be on the lookout for a private message with your name on it! [ehehe, she's a SesshRin-shipper, too, wheee! 8D]

And OMG! I've just started, on a moment of inspiration that hit me out of nowhere, snippets of "Aftermath" You remember of course, Cindy's [shortly after her 13th birthday] being shipped off to Ireland with Teresa as escort? A segment of that, in Teresa POV, is winging it's way to your inbox. Perhaps you could let me know what you think of the writing style? =D

Re: Irishdancer here :()
^_^ Oh yeah, I was laughing too and had to stifle my laughter quite a bit (after all, it was 0.30 in the morning!). Her art is really good, I wish I could draw like her!

Recently I bought a book on how to draw people and clothes. Technically, it is a book about drawing fashion styles but it has a good part about how to draw the human body, its limbs and the face and how to draw different types of clothing. It was reduced at the local A&M bookstore so I didn't hesitate for long and bought it.

Yeah The Knee! I already apply some ointment from the drugstore, Mobilat, to it twice a day since I know that it works wonders. Already, the pain has subsided to a point where it only hurts to climb stairs. Walking is still a tad awkward because the pain's around the kneecap (I suppose I sprained a ligament there).

Ohhh? REally? There are still more Arjuna fans out there willing to write fanfics?? How COOOLL! I'm looking forward to hearing from her, although perhaps you could pass on my e-mail address to her? I can't access ff.net at the moment (no idea why only that I get timeouts from the connection) and if, I rarely access it with my user name.

hehe Chris exchanges are ALWAYS fun, it's interesting to see how many different POVs there are!

Where's she from? Do you know?

You know it is really funny that most people don't like Chris. They complain that he's a whiny brat or just plain annoying and I'm like, häääh? He's got a lot of common sense, besides, I don't think he's as young as they think he is. Personally, I say he's about 20 (geez, now I know that I'm getting old, I'm 24 already!).

Ahh yeah, I saw your snippet and like it a lot. Writing from Teresa's POV is a novel concept (she's been neglected by people anyway in spite of her interesting backstory) and it might just make the story more lively, if you know what I mean.

I have an idea or two for your snippet, if you don't mind...
I think you should describe Cindy's emotions as well as Teresa's about the prospect of going to Ireland and perhaps incorporate a scene of Cindy and Chris discussing this event (is this before Chris goes to France or afterwards?).

When Cindy arrives in Ireland, you could cook up a scene describing Dublin, the airport and the atmosphere in general as she might perceive it (hint from my part: for me it was most fascinating that all road signs and car plates are bilingual in Irish and English). You could perhaps have her wonder what the "weird language with the many accents" is (under the assumption that Cindy speaks English decently but has never heard of Irish before). I believe that Irish would sound extremely foreign to her after having spent most of her early years in Japan.

Do you have any idea yet where the Irish SEED base'll be located? If you go by how the Japanese one is located, I would suggest somewhere in a remote area like the Aran island of Inis Uír or the north of the Republic like Co. Donegal in a Gaeltacht area.

What do you think of this?

Speaking of anime...anything now about NOEIN?

Ah and your new LJ skin is cool! Love it! *hihi*

Re: Irishdancer here :()
I know what you mean! I swear to god, if I weren't so lazy I know I could be a reasonably good artist but my muses are fickle creatures . . . They just won't work on demand. *sigh* The book sounds great! My bf got me the greatest birthday present last year - an art set especially for drawing the human body! It even came with a poseable wooden mannequin. So thoughtful . . . I really should take a stab at it again.

I am hoping The Knee [ehe . . . that's gonna be the official term now, isn't it? =D] is back to it's good old self by now, hmm? Oh, bring on the Summer! I bet the damp and the cold of the early seasons doesn't help at all with those unfortunate ligaments.

Sure thing I'll pass her on your email! I just have to reply to her massive message first . . . O.o I'll give her this, she's certainly enthusiastic. It's a little bit overwhelming, actually . . . You'll see when she gets in touch. ^^; Read the girl's profile! http://www.fanfiction.net/u/573973/ She's . . . intense. Maybe you could send her a private message from there yourself, seeing as we haven't gotten to exchanging emails yet . . .

I'm having such fun with Teresa's perspective . . . I've always imagined her as having a rather dry sense of humour, you know. I should note that the term "brat" she uses in regards to Cindy is a kind of grudgingly affectionate thing - in my story, their relationship is a sort of vague little sister + older sister who doesn't take any crap type thing, but their relationship will grow. I actually think Cindy's a little scared of Teresa because she isn't intimidated by her, psychic powers or not. And that amounts to a strange kind of respect.

Ahhh, thank you much for the input. I was indeed planning to make Cindy's adjustment to Ireland quite the . . . busy matter - it's a lot to get used to, I know that for certain. We're a crazy people, the Irish. CX Especially the Dubs. The Irish language, in general, is not going to be a huge feature because it's not spoken as widely as you might think; though we all learn it in school, many have all but forgotten most of it by the time they're thirty. It's a language you either love or hate, in my opinion. Although, it's spoken a lot more in the west of ireland, and she will be travelling and seeing quite a bit of the country, you know . . . [I see many research trips in my future . . .]

The headquarters will have to be in Dublin, as that's my base, you see. It's actually quite "integrated" - it's right in the heart of the city. You know what they say, the best "cover" is sometimes in plain sight. They blend right in with the ordinary businessmen and women; you'd never know there's a secret organisation right under your nose. =D That idea ran away with me - the common cover for the younger members is that they're part of a youth cultural and educational exchange project.

You sound as bad as me . . . I WANT NOEIN!! They still haven't got the next installment in stock, and I was looking on the web yesterday, and the ENTIRE BOX SET is already in circulation! *is tearing out hair*

Teehee, I know! I wanted a change of scene . . . XD

Re: Irishdancer here :()
Oh yeah, I completely agree, muses are fickle things. I can't draw on demand. Either I have this picture in my mind - then I draw, or the mental canvas is blank, then it won't work.

You have a bf? Eh, that's new to me. ^_^ *g* Lucky girl to have such a considerate guy at your side!
I'm still solo and that fact gave me a stab today when I went out with a friend from my Irish Dance course for a concert (Blackbush, a band that plays Irish music). Said friend has a really nice boyfriend and they were kissing and cuddling all the time. I admit, it hurt to watch this and stand by, knowing that this was something I only once and very briefly - exactly 14 days - (until he put his hands where I didn't want them, I think I once told you the story in detail?) enjoyed.

*rofl* The Knee it is, then. *hehe* Well, right now it still aches a bit when I climb stairs but the worst seems to be over. However, I'll try not to strain it too much over the weekend to allow it to heal. I don't want the same happening again on Monday when I'll meet with some girls for dance practice

Ah yeah, I see your point about her being intense. I just read her profile and she seems to be very..ahhh..prone to ramble. And I admit I'm not exactly into shounen-ai and/or yaoi stuff.

Hihi, your take on Teresa sounds good. Dry humour - that's a trait she would certainly have if her character had been more explored by Kawamori-san. Besides, if I remember correctly (oh shame on me, I think I have to re-watch the series), Cindy and Teresa did indeed have some kind of grudging respect for each other and Teresa did care about Cindy somehow (ep 7).

You're welcome! Och, you Irish are a crazy bunch, but that's what I love about you. I sometimes think that I'm crazy in the same way for I never felt more at home than when I was in Ireland in 2001. You just were similar to me in so many ways: outgoing, friendly and funny.
But you know, that might be one of Cindy's first problems: Japanese society is much more..rigid and formal than its Irish equivalent, or so it seems to me.
Another problem might be the Dublin dialect: We had this dancing teacher from Dublin at the school last week and although she tried to speak clearly, it was a great effort to understand her well because she "swallowed" half the syllables and half the time I was like, "pardon me, what did you/she say?" How embarassing! For Cindy the situation might be worse since she is no native speaker either AND because the English level in Japan isn't exactly high. What do you think? (yeah I'm rambling, but I like spinning ideas)

ahhh travelling Rachel, eh? cool. *lol*

I see! The idea with blending in has charme. That would mean that Cindy attends a school in Dublin too, right? (I see her throwing a fit at this very idea XD) This would fit better with the assumption of the exchange programme (besides - if the visa rules are as strict as they are here for non-EU citizens, then exchange programme might almost be the only legal way to get her to Ireland).
I don't know to what extent you want to incorporate a few descriptions of Dublin life and such? As for me, I'd love to hear about it (maybe Grafton street with street musicians, O'Connell Street, Trinity College with Brian Boru's harp, etc and blah). But that's only me, ne?

Yeah, Irish isn't so well known in east Ireland, I know that, but even in Dublin you'll have buses labelled "An Lár" or the tram "Luas". Cindy will have to learn that "lár" means "city centre" and that "busáras" is the central bus station. (jesus, I really do remember trivial things from so long ago!) She will ask questions.

How about Juna and Chris at the time (forgive my Alzheimer's, my mind's a tad muddled)? Juna stays in Japan and Chris is in France, aren't they?

But you're right, of course Irish is more important in my story since in it, Chris grew up in a Gaeltacht area and thus, Irish is his first language. It will be hard for Cindy when she returns to Ireland with Chris, Lia and Seán and is confronted with a language so very different from Japanese and English and the fact that Chris is indeed fluent in it.

*wail* they still don't have NOEIN! *louder wail* argh!

I sent you some creative stuff from me (SF fan story illustrations) - do you think I can put them on dA?
